Advansor introduced a groundbreaking plug-and-play CO heat pump capable of simultaneously delivering up to 600 kW of heating and 400 kW of cooling. Designed for industrial applications, this system emphasizes energy efficiency and ease of installation, requiring only water and electrical connections. The reversible functionality allows seamless switching between heating and cooling modes, catering to diverse operational needs.

Arneg's Natural Refrigerant Solutions with R290

Arneg showcased its “Cold Ring” system, which utilizes R290 (propane) combined with a glycol loop and is tailored for small—to medium-sized retail applications. This system offers an eco-friendly alternative to synthetic refrigerants, leveraging propane’s low environmental impact. Additionally, Arneg presented a flexible CO condensing unit adaptable to various refrigeration requirements, highlighting the company’s commitment to sustainable and versatile solutions.  

The Cold Ring system’s design focuses on energy efficiency and environmental responsibility, addressing the growing demand for sustainable refrigeration in the retail sector. Arneg’s advancements demonstrate a proactive approach to adopting natural refrigerants, aligning with global efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote eco-friendly technologies.

Copeland's Variable Speed R290 Compressor

Copeland unveiled its first variable-speed R290 compressor for commercial heat pumps, marking a significant advancement in energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable HVAC solutions. The variable-speed technology allows precise load matching, enhancing system efficiency and reliability. By utilizing R290 (propane) as the refrigerant, this compressor aligns with the industry’s move towards natural refrigerants with lower global warming potential.  

This development reflects Copeland’s commitment to innovation and sustainability, providing commercial applications with a viable solution that meets stringent environmental regulations. The introduction of variable-speed compressors using natural refrigerants represents a forward-thinking approach to reducing HVAC systems’ carbon footprint

Embraco's Sync It All Portfolio for Integrated Refrigeration

Embraco introduced the “Sync It All” portfolio, an integrated solution combining refrigeration fans, controllers, and software interfaces with their R290 variable-speed compressors. This integration aims to optimize energy usage and streamline refrigeration system performance in retail environments. The portfolio reduces energy consumption and enhances control over refrigeration operations by enabling seamless communication between components.  

The Sync It All portfolio exemplifies Embraco’s dedication to innovation and sustainability, offering a comprehensive approach to modern refrigeration challenges. The focus on integration and energy efficiency addresses the industry’s need for solutions that balance performance with environmental responsibility. 

Energy Recovery's PX G1300 Pressure Exchanger

Energy Recovery showcased the PX G1300 pressure exchanger, designed to improve the efficiency of CO refrigeration systems, particularly in high-temperature climates. The PX G1300 reduces energy costs by optimizing CO usage within the system, making it ideal for regions with energy-intensive cooling processes. This technology aligns with the HVAC industry’s emphasis on lowering energy costs while reducing emissions.

Enex Technologies' Everest Heat Pump: Modular R290 Solution for High-Efficiency HVAC Applications

Enex Technologies introduced the Everest Heat Pump, a modular, packaged air-to-water reversible scroll heat pump designed for outdoor use. Utilizing R290 (propane) as the refrigerant, the Everest Heat Pump offers a sustainable alternative to traditional systems, aligning with the industry’s shift towards environmentally friendly solutions. The modular design allows capacity expansion of up to 10 units, providing flexibility and scalability to meet varying heating and cooling demands.  

The Everest Heat Pump can produce hot water up to 70°C, making it suitable for a wide range of HVAC applications. It operates efficiently even in low ambient temperatures, with heating functionality down to -20°C. The system features a ‘Master in rotation’ logic, ensuring continuous operation by allowing individual modules to be serviced without interrupting the overall system. Additionally, the ‘slide in-slide out’ system facilitates easy maintenance, and the front accessibility of main components further enhances serviceability.

Epta's Fourth-Generation CO₂ Solutions for Energy Efficiency

Epta presented its fourth-generation transcritical CO systems, including remote cabinets and modular units like the Eco2Compacta power pack. These systems are designed to deliver high energy efficiency and ease of integration, supporting various refrigeration needs. The modular design allows for flexible configurations, making it an appealing choice for retailers and businesses seeking scalable, sustainable refrigeration solutions.  

Epta’s advancements highlight the ongoing evolution of CO as a leading refrigerant in environmentally responsible refrigeration systems. The focus on modularity and efficiency demonstrates a commitment to providing solutions that meet the industry’s sustainability goals while maintaining operational effectiveness.

J&E Hall's Low-Charge Ammonia Chiller Collaboration with Daikin

In collaboration with Daikin, J&E Hall introduced a low-charge, air-cooled ammonia chiller designed for cold storage and process cooling applications. Equipped with a semi-hermetic HallScrew compressor and cloud-based monitoring capabilities, the chiller offers high reliability with a significantly lower refrigerant charge. By using ammonia as the refrigerant with a reduced charge, J&E Hall’s air-cooled ammonia chiller aligns with global efforts to minimize refrigerant use while maintaining efficiency in large-scale cooling applications. Ammonia is known for its excellent thermodynamic properties, making it an energy-efficient refrigerant, and when used in reduced quantities, it presents a safer option for industrial environments. The Coolvert also boasts several safety features, which enhance operational reliability and extend the lifespan of HVAC systems, making it an attractive solution for manufacturers focused on reducing maintenance needs and improving overall system dependability.
