rinf.tech Marks a Milestone with ADAPTA Robotics’ €2 Million Investment from Catalyst Romania

Bucharest, 3 October 2024 –  rinf.tech is proud to announce that ADAPTA Robotics, once an internal robotics department, has secured a €2 million investment from Catalyst Romania. This significant milestone highlights ADAPTA’s rise from a promising project to a key player in the robotics industry. The investment will accelerate ADAPTA’s growth, expand its market presence, and drive innovation in AI-powered automation.

From In-House Innovation to Industry Leadership

ADAPTA Robotics was founded in 2015 within rinf.tech, born out of the company’s commitment to driving innovation through research and development (R&D). Backed by rinf.tech’s resources and technical expertise, ADAPTA Robotics transitioned into an independent company in 2021, positioning itself as a leader in the robotics field.

Constantin Iftime, Co-founder & CEO of rinf.tech, stated:

“As the founder and CEO of rinf.tech, I’m immensely proud of ADAPTA Robotics’ journey from an internal department to a thriving independent company. Our initial investment in robotics R&D has blossomed into a game-changing enterprise. This €2 million funding from Catalyst Romania validates our vision and underscores the importance of nurturing innovation within established tech companies. ADAPTA’s success story exemplifies rinf.tech’s commitment to pushing technological boundaries and fostering entrepreneurship.”

Pioneering Robotics with rinf.tech’s Support

With rinf.tech’s unwavering support, ADAPTA Robotics was able to focus on two years of intense R&D, culminating in the launch of the MATT Robot in 2021. This product, designed for testing hardware and software, is now widely used in 24/7 operations across multiple industries.

Victor Dornescu, Co-founder & VP Tech Partnerships of rinf.tech, added:

“Being deeply involved in both rinf.tech and Adapta Robotics, I’ve witnessed firsthand the transformative power of our robotics solutions. The years of R&D backed by rinf.tech have brought us to this exciting moment, showing how far innovation can take us when supported in the right way. It’s a testament to the innovative spirit that drove us from a corporate department to an independent, thriving startup. With this backing, we’re poised to revolutionize automation across industries, forging new partnerships and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in AI-powered robotics.”

ADAPTA Robotics: Driving Technological Innovation

Today, ADAPTA Robotics offers two flagship products:

  • MATT Robot: A highly adaptable tool designed for hardware and software testing, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • ERIS (Effective Retail Intelligent Scanner): A solution focused on addressing retail challenges like on-shelf availability and pricing accuracy.

These robots integrate cutting-edge hardware, artificial intelligence, and computer vision technologies, offering unparalleled accuracy and precision in 24/7 operations. The company has delivered solutions to prominent clients such as Zebra Technologies, Ypsomed, and Nissan, with over 50 robots deployed to more than 30 clients.
